Season of Ice

Summer is gone
My tidings for you: the stag bells
Winter sorrows, summer is gone.
Wind high and cold, low the sun
Short his course, sea running high.
Deep red the bracken, its shape all gone-
The wild-goose has raised his wonted cry.
Cold has caught the wings of birds;
Season of ice-these are my tidings.
Tonight the wind is high
Seas like manafur
I need not fear the hordes of hell
Coursing through my veins.
Summer is gone
The winter is cold
The wind is risen
The brave stag is on foot
The whole mountainside is cold tonight
But the bold stag is belling

Scarlet

Take your dreams and take your passions
And throw them away
All your pills and dead religion
Throw them away
On the hill the lights are flashin
Scarlet to grey

The City
03:12
|
|||
Its like a war zone
These slimy western streets
The whole city is sick
Strung out, time wasting away
Knockin at the shadows
And a long time after the deep burning
Burned and burned
And the city turned to ash
The whole of my rancid heart was swept up
Soaring on the high icy wind
And when I stepped out into a bright blue spotlight
I could suddenly see the rain all around me
And the thundercloud that was trackin me
And my dreams all twisted and bad
And I could see that I was sick just like all the rest
Sick from the city
Sick from the city

Destruction Song
01:44
|
|||
the tigers gnash their teeth at the border
large packs of wild dogs search the poison bayou
their starving
wrapped in barbed wire
their eyes are glowing red
the americans and russians are all dead
all burnt in the big fire
the chinasians are also charred by the cataclysm
all across the barren land
the shadows of the fleeing masses are photographed in the burnt earth
by a single flash of bright white light
the rivers and seas are burning
hard boiled sea whales line the beaches
the red dust that rises from the earth blocks out the sun
there are no stars in the sky
the moon is glowing scarlet red
